Today in class we examined LSA's book notices list and guidelines. I did some searching and found another journal calling for book reviews: TESL-EJ (electronic journal).

Like the LSA page, they too have a list of the books to be reviewed, but first you may want to look over the submission guidelines. This might be a better resource for those who want to review textbooks or other books that have an ESL/EFL focus.

Another organization

I added the Linguistic Society of America to the list of professional organizations. (Can't believe I forgot this one when I first made the list!)

I also added the link to eLanguage to the Helpful Websites list. This is the electronic journal that the LSA publishes.

Writing book notices

Here is the site that we discussed in class today. The Linguistic Society of America's journal, Language, commissions their book reviews but volunteers are needed to do book notices. Book notices are 500-word descriptions that will be published on the eLanguage website.

Once again: the electronic dossier program is called Autoplay Menu Builder, and if you google it, you will have many websites to review the features of the program.
If you are interested in learning about websites, and if you think creating a website will be better in the long run, here is the program you may want to explore on your own -if you have time :) - it is called Dreamweaver. It is installed in all of the computers in the LMC and NMC labs, so you may want to try these options before downloading the 30 day trial version.
